Set up iPhone Mediacom

1 Choose settings

2 Scroll down and choose Mail, Contacts and Calendars

3 Tap Add account and select Other

4 Tap Add Mail Account and enter the following information:

Name: your name
Email: your Mediacom email-address
Password: your Mediacom email-password
Description: enter "Mediacom"

5 Choose pop3 under incoming mail server and enter the following information:

Hostname: mail.mediacombb.net
Username: email
Password: your email-password

6 Scroll down and under outgoing mail server, enter the following information:

Hostname: mail.mediacombb.net
Username: email
Password: your email-password

7 Tap save and in select your emailadress in the next screen.

8 Scroll down and under outgoing mail server choose SMTP.

9 Under Main server select mail.mediacombb.net and make sure the following information is displayed:

SSL: ssl
Serverport: 465

10 Tap done and go to the previous screen. Choose Advanced and make sure the following information is correct:

SSL: ssl
Serverport: mail.mediacombb.net

11 Again, go back to the previous screen. Restart your iPhone to finish the setup!

Question and Answer

  • When adding an account I do not see or cannot find pop3 under incoming server. Also for outgoing mail server there is not ssl and a server port so I cannot enter 465 as the port number. I'd greatly appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks, JoAnn
